Sunday Services
Gathering together to hear God's word and to celebrate the good news of Jesus is the high point of our week at St. John's. When we do this, God is honored, His work is advanced, and we are changed. Join us as we worship God and encounter His presence!

  • We meet at 8:00 and 9:45am in-person at 700 S. Franklin St. Denver, CO.
  • Both services consist of singing, a sermon, Bible readings, prayer, and communion. Both of our services include the same sermon.
  • Our 8:00 Classic Service offers traditional hymns and a beautiful liturgical service led from the organ or piano.
  • Our 9:45 Modern Service is mostly contemporary music and a band. Livestream is also available of our 9:45 service on the front page of our website, sjdenver.org.

Dress is casual at both services.

Preaching

We believe in expositional preaching that has Jesus Christ at the center. Expositional preaching is when the main idea of the sermon is the main idea in the biblical text. Through God's Word, Jesus speaks to us and accomplishes His purposes for good in our lives. Our pastors typically preach through books of the Bible with some topical series as well.

Visit our Media page to listen to recent sermons.

Children

Your children are welcomed and loved at St. John's!

Nursery and Children's Church is offered at both services in a safe environment with a thoughtful lesson taught by our Director of Children's Ministry.

  • Nursery is for infants through two-year-olds.
  • Children’s Church is for three-year-olds through 4th grade.
  • We use KidCheck to help keep your child safe. You can save time and register now!  iOS / Web or a volunteer will be available to assist you when you arrive. Feel free to bring your child at any point before, during, or after the worship service.

Foundations Class
October 22 - November 12, 2023

If you want to inquire about the foundational teachings of Jesus and His Apostles, join us for the Foundations Class. This class also can lead to membership.

We will consider together: God's revelation of who He is, God's love in Jesus Christ, and God's invitation to be one of Jesus' followers. The next class will be held for four Sundays in the fall of 2023 in St. John's Community Room. Lunch and childcare will be provided.

The Gospel from Every Angle - Series Starts May 21

At its core, the Gospel is simple, and yet, it is no small thing. The Gospel affects every aspect of our lives! In this series, we look at the Gospel from the various angles that are highlighted for us in scripture so we can better marvel at what Jesus has done for us and what our new life in Him looks like.
